Warranty Coverage & Liability Waiver
Our 6-month warranty does not cover any labor costs for installing or removing parts, or any fees related to keys or locksmith services. The Buyer will not be reimbursed for any such expenses — no exceptions. The Buyer acknowledges and agrees that the Seller’s total liability is limited to the original purchase price of the item. The Seller is not responsible for any damage or injury resulting from the use of any item sold by any entity operated by 1800ECM.com. By making a purchase, the Buyer fully and permanently releases the Seller from any such liability.
6 Month-Warranty will be considered void if the returned item shows any of the following:
- A broken or removed security seal
- Please note that any unit lost or stolen during shipping is not covered under warranty and will not be replaced or refunded
- Misuse, abuse or improper handling
- Signs of Physical damage or water exposure
- Damage resulting from vehicle collision
- Evidence of burnt or overheated components
- Any modifications, tampering or use beyond the product's original intended purpose
- If you are unable to program a unit that has communication, please note that the warranty will not cover a replacement, as it is the customer’s responsibility to use the correct scanner.
Returns
- To process a return, the original invoice is required. If you are unable to provide the invoice, we can only issue store credit — no exceptions.
- All returned items shipped back for a refund must be received by the seller within 15 days of the delivery date and apply only to selected parts
- Walk-in returns are accepted within the 7th day of purchase and apply only to selected parts
- Any returns received beyond the 15-day return window will be eligible for store credit only.
Rebuilds:
- Please be aware that for all rebuilt units, the original part must be returned to our facility prior to any refund or return being issued. This is necessary to verify the issue and to reclaim any materials used during the rebuild process. - no exceptions
Plug & Play using your core:
- If you would like to request a return or refund for the unit purchased from us and we used your original core for programming, we require both the original core and the replacement unit to be returned (if you requested the core to be shipped back). Both items must be received before we can begin processing any return or refund, as this is necessary to reverse the programming.
Condition:
- Items must be returned in the same condition in which they were received.
- Electrical parts are thoroughly tested prior to sale and shipment. Upon return, all units will be examined for any burnt components, physical damage, or water exposure.
Fees:
- Please note that returns incur a 25% restocking fee due to the warranty being voided upon return.
- You may cancel any order within 48 hours; however, a 10% cancellation fee will be applied. After the 48-hour period, a full restocking fee may apply.
Estimated processing period:
- Once we receive and inspect your returned unit, please allow up to 7–14 business days for the refund to be completed.
